Business Matters at APOS | Trends for 2010 |
Most organization wouldn't include Archive and Restore in the
same sentence as Governance, Risk and Compliance. However, corporate laws, such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act, impact the way
organizations report and mandate their compliance and
operational requirements. The ability to react to an
audit, historic financial disclosure statement or other report
can quickly tax the available resources.
Beyond the time load and complexity, the financial impact
of managing the process of extracting the information back into the online system
can be costly.
Baseline magazine publishes their top 10 trends in IT for 2010
here. Centralization, Standards and Governance make their
top 5 in expected commitment to centralization. Baseline's
survey of over 800 respondents predicts that "85% of organizations will boost their investment in governance processes and applications in 2010"
This trend is an interesting gauge of the comfort that many
organizations face in the ever-changing Global economy. It also
shows the
responsibility that organizations owe to their shareholders and
respective governments.

The APOS Storage Center solution allows you to manage compliance and operational requirements for storage of SAP BusinessObjects content. It allows historical successful report instances to be archived
and objects to be backed up using
a comprehensive set of business rules providing the administrator with the ultimate
in archiving flexibility.
 To
make all of this possible, we have included a number of new capabilities in
the solution.
Here are the top 5 enhancements;
Restore at any folder level, the latest version of all backed up objects in that folder and all subfolders.
New 'Find Objects' screen allows user to see a listing of all objects that were backed up and allows them to restore from same screen.
Select an object in the Objects tab and perform the restore from this screen.
Run multiple servers on one machine
Archive and Backup folder paths are saved to SAP BusinessObjects
